Rental Process & Booking

What documents do I need to rent a car?

You'll need a valid driver's license, a major credit card in your name, and proof of insurance. International renters should also bring their passport and an International Driving Permit if required. All drivers must be at least 21 years old, though some vehicle categories require drivers to be 25 or older.

How do I make a reservation?

You can book your rental car online through our website, call our reservation hotline at 1-800-555-CPAK, or visit any of our rental locations in person. Online booking is available 24/7 and offers the best rates and vehicle selection. We recommend booking in advance, especially during peak travel seasons.

Can I modify or cancel my reservation?

Yes, you can modify or cancel your reservation up to 24 hours before your scheduled pickup time without any penalty. Changes made within 24 hours may incur a modification fee. To make changes, log into your account on our website, call our customer service team, or use our mobile app.

What if I need to extend my rental period?

If you need to keep your rental car longer than originally planned, contact us at least 24 hours before your scheduled return time. We'll do our best to accommodate your extension request based on vehicle availability. Extension rates will apply, and we'll provide you with updated pricing before confirming the extension.

Insurance & Protection

What insurance options are available?

We offer several insurance options including Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), Liability Insurance Supplement (LIS), Personal Accident Insurance (PAI), and Personal Effects Coverage (PEC). Our team can help you understand each option and determine what coverage best suits your needs. Many customers find that their personal auto insurance or credit card benefits may already provide coverage.

Is my personal car insurance valid for rental cars?

In many cases, your personal auto insurance policy extends to rental vehicles, but coverage varies by policy. We recommend contacting your insurance provider before your rental to confirm your coverage details. If your personal insurance covers rentals, you may decline our insurance options, though you'll still be responsible for any deductibles under your personal policy.

What happens if the rental car is damaged?

If your rental vehicle is damaged, contact us immediately at our emergency hotline. Document the damage with photos and obtain a police report if applicable. If you purchased our Collision Damage Waiver, you'll have minimal financial responsibility. Without CDW, you may be liable for repair costs up to the vehicle's value. Our team will guide you through the claims process and arrange for a replacement vehicle if needed.

Vehicle Pickup & Return

Where can I pick up my rental car?

We have convenient pickup locations at major airports, downtown business districts, and neighborhood branches throughout the region. When you make your reservation, you can choose your preferred pickup location. Airport locations offer extended hours and quick shuttle service from terminals. We also provide delivery service to hotels and businesses for an additional fee.

What is your fuel policy?

We operate on a "full-to-full" fuel policy. Your rental car will be provided with a full tank of fuel, and we ask that you return it with a full tank. If you return the vehicle without refueling, we'll charge a refueling fee plus the cost of fuel at our current rates. Keep your fuel receipt from your final fill-up as proof of refueling.

Can I return my car to a different location?

Yes, we offer one-way rentals that allow you to pick up your vehicle at one location and return it to another. One-way rentals are subject to availability and may include an additional drop-off fee depending on the distance between locations. When booking, simply select different pickup and return locations to see if one-way rental is available for your route.

What if I return the car late?

We offer a 29-minute grace period for returns. If you return your vehicle more than 29 minutes after your scheduled return time, you'll be charged for an additional rental day. If you know you'll be late, please contact us as soon as possible to extend your rental period and avoid late fees. Our customer service team is available 24/7 to assist with return time modifications.

Pricing & Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. The credit card must be in the primary driver's name. We also accept debit cards at most locations, though additional identification and deposit requirements may apply. Cash payments are not accepted for vehicle rentals, but can be used for additional services at some locations.

Are there any hidden fees?

We believe in transparent pricing with no hidden fees. Your rental quote includes the base rental rate, applicable taxes, and any optional services you select. Additional charges may apply for services like additional drivers, GPS rental, child safety seats, airport facility fees, or young driver surcharges. All fees are clearly disclosed during the booking process and on your rental agreement.
